I’ve been an athlete my entire life, but after I turned 30 and had my youngest 2 children, I “let myself go” while putting them first. Before my 35th birthday, I decided I wanted to start running. I did the couch to 5k program, and couldn’t believe I could actually run. Last year about this time, I decided to go low-carb, and I lost 40 pounds. I still have 10 or so to lose to be at my ultimate goal weight, but the journey for health and fitness will continue. I have since found that I really enjoy triathlon. I have 4 races that I’ve signed up for in 2018, with a possibility of a longer race in the future .
