I work on my family’s ranch and am new to the world of 5k’s and marathons. I have been in decent working shape for a cowboy. I overcame a broken back after being bucked off in January 2017. The healing period was painful but I was able to push through and recover fully. Those couple months showed me that my body could do so much more than it had been so I decided to push further and enter 5k’s and obstacle runs. I want to represent Team Beef because beef and agriculture as a whole get a “bad rap” more often than not. I believe that the beef industry can not stay quiet and allow these falsehoods to go said with no one knowing the truth. This program seems like an inventive way to talk to a group of people that may not otherwise hear our side of the story.
