I live in Alachua, Florida with my husband, Geoffrey, and our two young children. I currently stay home full-time with our kids. Health and fitness have always been very important to me, though, and I am a graduate of the University of Florida, majoring in Health Education & Behavior. I have only done a handful of 5K and 10K races over the past few years, with the most recent one this past fall. However, at this time in my life, I have found that walking and running (usually with the full crew in tow!) are one of the most consistent ways I can exercise, so participating in races gives me motivation and specific goals to work towards.
Over these past few years, my husband has become very involved in the Florida Cattlemen’s Association and we have started a cattle operation of our own and are growing our small herd. As we have done these things, I have looked for ways that I could also be more involved and educated about the beef industry. When I heard about Team Beef Florida, I saw this as a very fitting way to use my background and passion for health and fitness in conjunction with promoting and educating myself and others about beef and the industry behind it.
