Bartow

I was introduced into the gym world and strength training by my sister in the mid-1990s.  Becoming a little lazy I found other activities to fit into my gym time.  In early 2000 I worked out some and ran and walked with friends after work.  In June 2010 Golds Gym Winter Haven (GGWH) started a Challenge which got me back into the gym on a regular basis.  Thereafter I signed up for GGWH Fit Club and got my mind set to seriously get into shape.  I worked out at GGWH with both group fitness classes and some personal training but fell off the wagon in Oct 2016.  I have become active again with “gym life” working out weekly with GGWH Cross Fit Devastation, strength training on my on, and stepped up the cardio.  This year I’ll be half a century old and I’d like to be FABULOUS at 50!????    I participated in the South Florida Baptist Hospital Foundation-Romp in the Swamp in 2014-with Florida CattleWomen (FCW) Team Beef members; BeefFit 5K run/walk in San Diego, CA in January 2016-with Florida FCW Team Beef members; Warrior Dash in February 2016; Carillon Classic 5K in April 2016; and Savage Race Florida Fall 2016 in October 2016.

My constant struggle with getting in shape is my diet.  Diet is 80% of being fit, that’s why I choose to eat lean Beef.  The participants that I’ve encountered at past races are happy to learn more about lean beef in a healthy diet.  I’d like to continue to spread the message about the many benefits of Beef in a healthy lifestyle.
